Bipolar disorder is a complex mood disorder characterised by significant shifts between periods of depression and mania or hypomania. At Cardinal Clinic, our consultant psychiatrists have extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and long-term management of bipolar disorder, using a combination of medication management and psychotherapy to help patients achieve mood stability and an improved quality of life.
Conditions We Treat
We provide specialist assessment and treatment for the full range of conditions in this area, including:

Characterised by manic episodes lasting at least 7 days, often requiring hospitalisation, alternating with depressive episodes.

Involves hypomanic episodes (less severe than full mania) and more prolonged depressive episodes.
Cyclothymic Disorder
Chronic fluctuating mood involving periods of hypomanic and depressive symptoms that do not meet full criteria for either episode.
